Interferon regulatory factor 3
The IRF3-Gene encodes a protein that is an element of the signal cascade that controls transcription of interferon alpha and beta as well as many other interferon-related genes. Mutations cause autosomal dominant susceptibility to herpes encephalitis and COVID-19.
